Yes, the girls had taken considerable steps towards the commissioning of the targeted offense because they had already brought with them the rat poison with the intention of poisoning their homeroom teacher. It is what they had planned and agreed to do; to bring then rat poison to the scene of crime which would be used to fulfill their intention i.e. poisoning to kill their homeroom teacher(Frank Schmalleger, Daniel E. Hall, with John J, Dolatowski, 2010)So, by bringing the rat poison with them; was part of the fulfillment of their intended act. 2. That the girls had brought with them materials (a rat poison) to be used in the commissioning of their targeted crime (poisoning to kill the teacher); that the rat poison had the capability to fulfill such act and that the girls had no lawful purpose for bringing the rat poison with them. That the girls had already planned to bring the rat poison and use it to poison the teacher to death and so it was their intention to kill the teacher. 3. No, the answer would still; be that the girls had taken a substantial step because they were in possession of the rat poison at the planned scene of crime for its commissioning as they had planned and that they had no lawful purpose of its possession in school.
